Modera Fuels The Growth Of Online Businesses

In the same way that Wordpress allows a user to publish a fully functional online weblog, incorporating advanced plug-ins and themes that give the weblog the appearance of a professionally produced site, Modera, using customized modules and developed applications and tools, allows businesses, large and small, to create a definitive online web presence.

Siim Vips, CEO of Modera gave AdMarkTech some background around the establishment of Modera and an insight into the many services provided by this growing company. “The company was founded in 2000. After an initial two years of being a startup we decided to begin advertising and offer a suite based, application development platform.” The initial offering which, historically has been utilized by the automotive and entertainment industries, can be developed and used in any business, with no restrictions. “Within our current customer portfolio there are financial and banking sites and vacation sites. We can apply the technology to any operational need.”

Ranging from simple, content management-driven web pages to fully functional systems, Modera has developed a PHP based Module Development Kit that can either be customized by developers at Modera, by 3rd party programmers based at Modera partners or by a client’s in-house development team. “We have so many different modules available that any customer needs can be satisfied with these modules. If there is a need for specific development, existing modules can be changed. It’s also possible to create new customized modules to fulfill customer needs where a module within the current Modera portfolio does not exist.”

For businesses in need of maintaining up to the minute content and the ability to track marketing campaigns, Modera offers a versatile content management system and banner marketing automation. “Our banner management system is a universal design. For example, if a customer is using our content management system and our intranet module then it’s possible to control the banner system for several sites from one location on the Internet.”

From an analytics perspective a number of Modera clients have chosen to embed Google analytics into their websites to retrieve statistics. However, Modera analytics come with click rate statistics to name but a few of the tools currently on offer. “All our products and modules are constantly being developed. The current development team stands at more than 50 and the Ukraine development center is growing. We will have around 80 to 100 developers by the end of year.” So it probably won’t be too long before Modera will be able to offer a more comprehensive analytics package.

With no intention to develop streaming media in competition with online video sites, Modera are always looking for ways to expand the offering by way of integration. “We do know that the platform is open to all of those integrations.”

For many businesses launching a website, search engine optimization (SEO) is a crucial element. “All the SEO functions are built in to the system. Then we provide our partners and customers with information how to use the tools. They have a choice of doing their own SEO, utilizing the tools on their developed platform or hiring a partner consultant who knows how to optimize sites using our tools.”

Up until now Modera’s growth has been organic and mainly through PR and word of mouth advertising by satisfied customers. However, now that the company is growing in both size and revenue, Modera are looking at launching a number of marketing initiatives in the second half of 2008. Targeting clients ranging from heads of departments, sole traders and large businesses, Modera has a platform to suit the needs of any business. Whether they are looking to launch their online business or change platforms and increase their online presence, Modera has the solution. Many companies have legacy systems made up of many different elements pieced together. There are not too many companies who can offer a complete integrated solution together with full updates each time new technology has been freshly developed.
